TX21 Indivisible is hosting a series of meet-and-greet events in Austin so you can get to know the candidates in the Democratic primary race to replace Rep. Lamar Smith. Our third event is coming up on Sunday and features Elliott McFadden.

What: Meet Elliott McFadden

When: Sun, October 1, 3pm – 5pm

Where: Sawyer & Co, 4827 E Cesar Chavez St., Austin

Elliott describes himself this way:

“Elliott is a community leader who gives back. He served on the board of directors of Bike Austin, helping shepherd the organization through its merger with the Austin Cycling Association and with the hiring its first full-time Executive Director. He was a founder of the North American Bike Share Association and served as the organizations first board treasurer.”

“He is a 25 year resident of Austin, living in the same neighborhood in South Austin for the last 16 years. His wife is the school librarian at their neighborhood school, St. Elmo Elementary, which was recognized as a top elementary school serving low-income students in Central Texas. Their children attend public schools at St. Elmo Elementary and at an Austin ISD magnet middle school.”

“Elliott’s faith is a critical part of who he is and drives him to serve others. He is a 20-year member of University United Methodist Church.”
